San Jose Carjacking Suspects Caught On Camera

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating carjacking suspects from earlier this year in San Jose.

According to police, on July 18 around 6:25 a.m. a vehicle was stolen and an assault with a deadly weapon occurred at 940 Deer Meadow Court.

Police said the victim, a 42-year-old woman, left her vehicle unattended in the driveway while it warmed up.

A suspect entered her vehicle and attempted to drive away before the victim stepped in front of her car. The carjacker then struck her with the vehicle and fled.

She was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Surveillance footage showed a gray Lexus sedan moments before the carjacking, and a female driver and a male passenger wearing a red shirt.

The two were seen walking around allegedly attempting to open vehicles prior to the incident.

Police said during the carjacking, the Lexus was seen speeding away behind the victim vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Hernandez at (408) 277-4166.
