Woman Offers $10,000 Reward To Find Her Dog 'Sassy Pants'

NOVATO (CBS SF) -- A North Bay woman is so desperate to find her French bulldog named "Sassy Pants" that she's offering a $10,000 reward.

Sassy pants is a six-year-old female with a beige coat. The dog went missing in late June at the end of Deborah Court in Novato.

Dog owner Kelly Kinnard, who lives in Larkspur, says it is part of an all-out campaign to find the missing pooch.

Kinnard said she was on vacation and Sassy Pants was with a sitter when the dog chased after a squirrel and disappeared in an empty lot in Novato.

The area around the lot has been thoroughly searched, according to Kinnard. She thinks Sassy Pants likely made it into a nearby neighborhood and was picked up by someone.

"I've called 60 vets all over the Bay Area. I talk to the Marin Humane Society all the time," explained Kinnard. "We hired a private investigator to look into the situation and follow up on a couple of leads."

She has also posted flyers in the neighborhood multiple times,  filed a police report and even hired a pet psychic.

"I'm absolutely desperate," said Kinnard.

Anyone with information on the dog is asked to email FindSassyPants@Yahoo.com.
