Crews Mop Up After Grass Fire Burns 3 Acres Along Hwy 4 In Antioch

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A three-acre grass fire burning near the junction of state Highway 4 and state Highway 116 in Antioch has been contained, according to firefighters.

Firefighters reported the incident via Twitter at 8:06 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig-alert for the connector ramp from eastbound Highway 4 to northbound Highway 116 due to the fire at 8:45 p.m., which is now being mopped up by firefighters at the scene.

There was no estimate for when the ramp would reopen and motorists were advised to use the Laurel Road exit as a detour, getting back on westbound Highway 4 to access northbound Highway 116, according to the CHP.
