BART Launches Rewards Program For Commuting Outside Morning Rush Hours
OAKLAND (CBS SF) – BART officials on Tuesday launched the agency's new "BART Perks" program to offer small cash rewards to people who participate in the research.
The research program will allow people to earn points for riding BART after registering their Clipper card. The points can be redeemed on PayPal for small cash rewards or used to play for larger prizes.
Riders who sign up can earn points for every mile traveled in the system. They can earn six times the number of points by traveling in off-peak hours.
The points can be redeemed for cash awards. The idea is to reduce crowding on trains.
BART Perks is being offered through BART and the San Francisco County Transportation Authority. Interested parties can sign up for the program at BARTPerks.com.
