'Grocery Store Purse Pirate' Caught On Video Brazenly Stealing Shopper's Wallet

ROSEVILLE (CBS SF) -- A woman police have dubbed the 'Grocery Store Purse Pirate' was caught on video stealing another shopper's wallet.

The video shows an unsuspecting woman who takes her eyes off her purse to inspect the veggies and in a matter of seconds, her wallet was gone.

Roseville Police Department released the video in hopes someone might recognize the suspect and turn her in.

Watch this grocery store purse pirate in action--this is why it's so important to keep your purse closed and under your control at all times. Never leave it out of your sight on the back of your chair in a restaurant or in your grocery cart, even for a few seconds. This suspect is connected to several similar thefts in grocery stores throughout Roseville. We're not publishing her name at this time, but our detective knows who she is. Meantime, they are warning shoppers to always keep their purses closed and "under control at all times," and never leave purses on the backs of chairs in restaurants or grocery carts for even a few seconds."
