OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- BART is recovering from a major delay on the Pittsburg/Bay Point Line in both directions due to a medical emergency and a train with mechanical problems.
BART issued an alert at about 4:40 p.m. regarding the service delays. Officials did not specify any details about the location or nature of the medical emergency or train issues affecting service to both Pittsburg/Bay Point Line and SFO.
As of about 5:10 p.m., BART said that the issues were resolved, but that service was recovering. Passengers should expect some residual delays in the system.
