3 People Who Left 34 Kittens, Cats At Marin Shelter Caught On Surveillance Video

MARIN (CBS SF) - Three people who dropped off 34 tuxedo cats and kittens at the Marin Humane Society in the middle of the night were caught on surveillance video.

The shelter posted the footage on Facebook Wednesday. It shows the trio unloading boxes from a SUV, each purportedly with several kittens inside, and placing them on the sidewalk outside the facility.

According to the shelter, the people also left a note asking that the shelter find homes for the animals.

This was the fifth time so-called 'tuxedo' cats were dumped at the shelter in the past four years.

The shelter was trying to contact the people for information about the cats, and said it would not hold them liable. On its Facebook page, the Humane Society said "we want to find out who is responsible for these cats so we can offer assistance and end this cycle of irresponsible overbreeding."
