By Amanda Wicks

(RADIO.COM) – Billie Joe Armstrong's film Ordinary World has received a fall release date. Originally titled Geezer, it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.

In Ordinary World, Armstrong stars as aging punk rocker Perry who has settled into suburban life as a husband and father. When his brother (Chris Messina) funds a major 40th birthday bash at a sleek Manhattan hotel, Perry's past and present clash in hilarious and dramatic ways. Ordinary World also stars Judy Greer, Selma Blair, Dallas Roberts, Fred Armisen, Brian Baumgartner and Kevin Corrigan. Lee Kirk wrote and directed the film.

Green Day shared news of the project on the band's Instagram account today (September 6), posting a photo of the film's poster which features the tagline, "It's time to face the music."

Ordinary World will hit select theaters beginning October 14th.
