Ferrari Driver Killed In Solo Peninsula Crash

REDWOOD CITY (KPIX 5) -- A driver was killed when a Ferrari slammed into a tree and went down an embankment in Redwood City Wednesday.

The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 84 near Starwood Drive.

Moises Escoto with the California Highway Patrol said the Ferrari California was the only car involved in the crash, and that speed is being investigated as a possible factor.

The male driver was killed. He was the only occupant in the car. He was identified as a 46-year-old San Jose resident.
