Man Shot In Hand By Armed Robber Who Stole Phones Saturday Night In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) — A robbery suspect shot and robbed a man Saturday evening in Oakland, sending the victim to the hospital, police said.

At 7:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 2300 block of 25th Avenue, according to police.

Officers learned the victim had been robbed of his phones.

The suspect, who was allegedly armed with a black handgun, fled the scene, police said.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his left hand. He was taken to a hospital and was reported to be in stable condition, according to police.

A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
