Ravens Fan Critically Injured In Attack With Raiders Fans

BALTIMORE, Md. (CBS SF) – A Baltimore Ravens fan was hospitalized in critical condition after authorities said he was attacked by two Oakland Raiders fans during an altercation at Sunday's game in Baltimore.

The Baltimore Sun newspaper reported that 55-year-old Joseph Bauer was attending the game with his wife when he got into a verbal argument with the Raiders fans near the end of the game.

During the attack, Bauer was knocked unconscious when his head hit the concrete, the newspaper reported. Doctors reportedly told Bauer's family that he has a subdural hematoma and had a 30 percent chance of surviving.

"You just don't expect that you would go to a football game and someone would put you in intensive care," Susan Bauer, Joseph's sister, told the newspaper. "I just can't even believe it's happening."

According to Baltimore Police, two individuals seen walking away from the victim were arrested. Scott Smith of Mt. Vernon, New York and Andrew Nappi of Eastchester, New York have been charged with aggravated assault.

The newspaper reported Nappi was released on $25,000 bail, but Smith's status is unclear.
