Extra Innings Giants Game Had Fans Choosing Between Transit & Baseball

KCBS_740SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- They always tell you take public transit to AT&T Park, which usually works like a charm unless you're in the 13th inning and checking your watch for the last BART train or ferry.

Do you leave your seat and make your way to the exit gate hoping you don't miss anything? Do you bail early to make the last Alameda ferry at 9:30, and catch the rest at home?

Vallejo ferry customers found their last ride leaving at midnight, and BART's last train out of the city is around 12:40 so luckily the game ended in time.

"It was a very late boat. It didn't get into Larkspur until after 1 o'clock," Priya Clemens Spokesperson for Golden Gate Transit told KCBS.

Their ferries leave half an hour after the last out for Giants fans.

It should be easier tonight – the game starts an hour earlier than Monday's, which means the Golden Gate Ferry leaves Larkspur at 4 p.m.
