OAKLAND (CBS SF) — Police in Oakland are looking for two suspects seen robbing an elderly couple at gunpoint in a surveillance video clip authorities recently released.

The incident happened in early August on 33rd Avenue and East 16th Street. Alberto Huizar and his wife were out celebrating his 78th birthday.

They were just leaving a restaurant when the two men in red sweatshirts approached them.

In the surveillance video, the men are seen rushing the couple with guns drawn as they were about to get into their car.

Huizar said the men held a gun to his head and demanded his valuables before they struck him in the head and pushed his wife.

The robbers made off with money and jewelry.

Huizar told KPIX 5 there have been at least three other robberies on that same block recently.
