SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – Two lanes have reopened on U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose where a UPS big-rig and SUV collided early Thursday morning, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The collision was reported on southbound Highway 101 just north of East Brokaw Road around 4:15 a.m., according to the CHP.

Three tow trucks and an ambulance were called to the scene. The SUV overturned into a small ditch, CHP officials said.

At least one person was transported to a hospital, according to the CHP.

CHP officials issued a Sig-alert at 4:34 a.m. because of two lanes that were blocked until shortly before 10 a.m., according to the CHP.

Again, sad that no one died in this incident. These stories would be much more entertaining if these dumb drivers would actually die and leave us with fewer idiots on the road.
