Ghulam Mohammadi, 62, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Santa Clara County Jail, police said.

The assistant assigned to work parking enforcement saw a driver, later identified as Mohammadi, drop off a customer and park in a red zone at Bryant and California streets near a CVS Pharmacy, police said.

The assistant started to write up a parking ticket and quickly became involved in a confrontation with Mohammadi, according to police.
