Burlingame Police Believe Man Shot Dead Outside Hyatt SFO Was Targeted

BURLINGAME (CBS SF) -- One person died early Sunday morning outside a hotel near San Francisco International Airport in what investigators believe was a targeted shooting.

Around 5:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in an alley by the Hyatt SFO at 1333 Old Bayshore Highway.

Upon arrival, officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency crews attempted to treat the male victim, however he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his family, police said.

No arrest was made in the shooting and a suspect was not identified.
