Pair Of Wolves Spotted In Northeastern California

KCBS_740LASSEN COUNTY, California (KCBS) -- Two more wolves have been spotted in far northeastern California.

The pair was caught on remote camera this summer in Lassen County.

DNA tests of their scat indicate the male was born in Oregon, probably in a pack led by the wolf designated OR-7.

OR-7 was spotted in California is 2011, becoming the first wolf known to enter the state in over 100 years.

Researchers believe four adults wolves and as many as five pups now call California home.
