2 Arrested, 8 Injured In Shooting Outside Downtown Oakland Nightclub

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Oakland early Saturday morning that injured eight people, including two suspects.

Oakland police say both male suspects, ages 17 and 21, are in stable condition.

The other six people who were shot include four women and two men ranging in age from 17 to 28. Five are in stable condition and one is critical.

Acting Lt. Rachael Van Sloten says the shooting happened just after midnight Saturday outside Vinyl nightclub.

Oakland police officer John O'Reilly told KCBS officers were near the area of Broadway and 14th Street and heard shots. Upon arrival at the scene outside the Vinyl nightclub, they located eight victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Oakland PD Felony Assault Section investigators are conducting the investigation.
