San Jose Police Investigate Attempted Murder Of 2 Officers

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- San Jose police are investigating the attempted murder of two officers in that city, according to the department.

Two officers on foot patrol in the area of Luby Drive and Ripley Drive attempted to contact a group of males in the area. Police say the group ran off, and one male subject turned and fired several rounds at the officers.

The officers were not hit, and did not return fire.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20's, standing six feet tall, and wearing a black and grey Pendleton with a whit et-shirt, and dark pants.
