Petaluma Boy Who Wanted To 'Live Among The Homeless' Found Safe In Sebastopol

SEBASTOPOL (CBS SF) -- A missing 13-year-old Petaluma boy was found safe in Sebastopol and is home with his family who were searching for him, Petaluma police said.

Lucas Coleman, a foster child, was last seen Monday afternoon after a medical appointment in Santa Rosa.  He had run away before but police were particularly concerned for his safety this time because of his age and the cold, rainy weather predicted this week, Sgt. Ed Crosby said.

The teen recently stated he wanted to run away to Guerneville to live among the homeless, Petaluma police said.

Police received several tips from people who reported seeing him in various Bay Area locations including Cotati, Sebastopol and Pacifica, Crosby said.
