Carlos Hyde Rushes For Record 141 Yards In First Half Vs. Jets

Fans looking for a silver lining in the midst of a lost season for the 1-10 San Francisco 49ers can at least point to Carlos Hyde's first half against the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon at Levi's Stadium.

Hyde absolutely gashed the Jets from the outset of the game, putting up 141 yards on seven attempts in the first half against a Jets defense that had no answer for the 49ers running back.

The 49ers gained 169 rushing yards total on the ground in the first half, which was the most the Jets have allowed in 25 years.

Hyde also has a chance at breaking the 49ers' single-game record for most rushing yards. The record currently belongs to Frank Gore, who put up 212 yards in a single game back in 2006 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Behind a questionable offensive line, Hyde has put together numerous solid outings and has 686 yards and six rushing TDs going into Sunday's game, averaging 3.9 yards per carry throughout the season as well.
