Earthquake Rattles North Bay Near The Geysers
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- A 5.0 magnitude earthquake centered in the geologically active Geysers area rumbled through the North Bay early Wednesday, rattling homes in Napa, Windsor and Santa Rosa.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at 8:41 a.m. about 5.6 miles west of the massive PG&E Geysers geothermal fields and eight miles from Anderson Springs.
In Windsor, Nathan Piland said the quake really rocked his house.
"Our house just shook, pretty sure we just had an aftershock in Windsor," he told KPIX 5.
Rhonda Lucille posted that the temblor was "'rockin'" in Healdsburg.
"Rockin' and rollin' in Healdsburg," she wrote. "No worries in my little neighborhood."
There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
