Oakland Police Find Victim Shot Dead In Car

OAKLAND (CBS SF) — A person was shot and killed in a car Friday evening in Oakland, police said.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 8800 block of Hillside Street shortly after 5:30 p.m., police Officer John O’Reilly said.

Responding officers found a male victim fatally shot in a vehicle.

Homicide detectives were sent to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, according to O’Reilly.

No information on suspects or arrests was immediately available.

  1. Probably just another welfare check receiver. I am sure this loser was not one of the successful Oaklanders who is actually making that city somewhat tolerable.
