Richmond Bridge Lanes Reopen After Injury Accident Cleared

RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- An injury accident involving an overturned vehicle on the Richmond Bridge shut down the right westbound lanes of the span for about an hour, according to authorities.

The crash happened midspan on the Richmond Bridge in the westbound direction of I-580 just before 2:30 p.m., according to the Sig-Alert issued by CHP.

The lanes were cleared and reopened shortly before 3:30 p.m., according to authorities. Motorists are advised to expect residual delays.
