High-Rise Condo In San Francisco Offering Too Much Parking?

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- A high-rise condo is going up at Market Street and Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco.

But that's not what has the neighborhood association upset.

They're angry because the building is offering too much parking.

Really?

Since San Francisco is a declared "transit first" city, new developments are supposed to abide by a ratio that limits even underground parking to encourage people to use mass transit.

The building is next to a stop for the already overcrowded Muni metro.
