Firefighters Fully Contain Castro Fire Near Gilroy
GILROY (KCBS) – Firefighters in Santa Clara County contained a brush fire that burned 125 acres in an unincorporated area south of Gilroy.
The Castro Fire broke out Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Castro Valley Road and Highway 101 near Gavilan College.
Crews are staying on the scene to watch for flare-ups.
No structures were ever threatened by this fire. The cause remains under investigation.
