SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) — Ten acres of land burned in San Jose on Monday night.

Fire crews fought the grass fire from the air and the ground.

It broke out on Communications Hill near Fire Station 33. Air tankers started dropping retardant to stop it from spreading.

No structures were burned and no injuries were reported. Crews were still on scene Monday night mopping up the area.

The cause of the grass fire remains under investigation.
