(CBS SF) — A storm system was pushing into the Bay Area Wednesday, promising widespread rain and showers beginning in the afternoon.

Most of the rain was expected to fall in the North Bay, with some two inches forecast between Wednesday and Thursday.

Rain was expected overnight Wednesday along with gusty winds. Additional showers and unsettled weather were forecast through Friday.

Partly cloudly skies were expected Saturday, and a return of more rain Sunday and Monday.
