Brush Fire Burns Southeast Of Livermore

LIVERMORE (CBS SF) -- A brush fire in a remote area southeast of Livermore was sending up large columns of smoke visible from miles away, fire officials said.

The fire was reported on the 24000 block of Mines Road, several miles southeast of Lake Del Valle and north of State Route 130. Firefighting aircraft were seen dropping water and retardant on a burning ridgeline.

So far there are no injuries in connection with the fire. No other information was immediately available.
