Liam Mayclem
Liam is an Emmy award-winning host and a producer for CBS 5 TV’s Eye on The Bay, which airs nightly at 7 p.m. on KPIX.
Born in London to Irish parents, Liam Mayclem is an Irishman with an English accent.
Since the launch of the show in 2005 Liam has travelled to Australia, Canada and many major cities across America.
He has cooked with the world’s top chef’s; Thomas Keller, Tyler Florence, Martin Yan, Cat Cora and many more.
Every bit the music fan, Liam’s favorite event each year is The Grammys, which he covers for CBS 5.
He has interviewed music royalty: BB King, Ringo Starr, Sting, Tony Bennett and many more.
Well known for his “Cheap Eats” series, Liam loves to find as he puts it, “good nosh for cheap.”
“This is pants down the best gig in TV. I get paid to have fun and turn viewers on to the unique people and places around the Bay and beyond,” says Liam.
Liam’s broadcasting career began at the age of 16, reading cricket scores at County Sound Radio, Guildford in Southern England.
His TV career kicked into gear in 1989 when he joined Channel TV on the island of Jersey, UK as a News Announcer and reporter. He left the island in 1994 and ventured west to get a piece of the “American dream”.
First stop was TechTV as a show host. Then Liam landed at KRON 4 as the morning liveshot reporter from 2001 to 2005.
In his spare time, Liam enjoys live concerts, theater and enjoys venturing outdoors and exploring the Bay Area.
Liam is also expanding his bandwith with his new tasty KCBS segment Foodie Chap celebrating the Bay Area’s Chefs & Winemakers.

Liam is a keen fundraiser and has a few favorite charities; AIDS Emergency Fund, Project Open Hand and The Northern California Cancer Center.
