Current 'Top Chef: Just Desserts' Competitor and a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Sally Camacho brings extensive knowledge and experience as the Pastry Chef of WP24 by Wolfgang Puck, located downtown in The Ritz-Carlton. It was recently awarded one of Esquire’s “Best New Restaurants of 2010″. Chef Camacho recently won the U.S. semifinals of the Valrhona C3 2011 Culinary Competition and will be headed to Madrid to represent the U.S. in the finals in 2012.

David Michael Bautista, Jr. (born January 18, 1969), is a former American professional wrestler, bodybuilder and actor best known for his time in WWE. In WWE, he became a six-time world champion, winning the World Heavyweight Championship four times, and the WWE Championship two times. He is the longest-reigning World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history. In addition to these championships, Batista has won the World Tag Team Championship three times (twice with Ric Flair and once with John Cena) and the WWE Tag Team Championship once (with Rey Mysterio). Batista was also the winner of the 2005 Royal Rumble match. He is currently signed to Ultimate Fighting Championship.

As such she is related to British royalty through her grandfather, the late 11th Baron Raymond De Longueuil (second cousin to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom) whose mother was the Lady Ernestine Maude Bowes-Lyon.

He explains his life story in a song called “The Apl Song” on the Peas’ 2003 album Elephunk, which includes a full chorus in Tagalog sampled from the Asin song “Balita.” The accompanying video, which includes cameos by fellow Filipino-Americans Dante Basco and Chad Hugo, is also a tribute to the Filipinos who fought for the U.S. in World War II; the song reached number one in the Philippines. Born in sunny southern California in 1986, actress and comedian Charlyne Yi started pursuing a full-time career in stand-up comedy when she was fresh out of high school. Cris Judd did not make his rise to stardom overnight. His dance career began after college when he went to work at Disneyworld Orlando in the Character Department. His talent didn't go unnoticed, and soon thereafter he landed a dance contract working for Disney's Pleasure Island. Cris's hard work paid off when he booked The 1995 MTV Video Awards with Michael Jackson, based soley on a word-of-mouth recommendation. He has invented the most scratching techniques and musical innovations than any DJ in history. Mix Master Mike (born April 4, 1970) is an American turntablist of Jewish and Filipino extraction. His real name is Michael Schwartz. He was born in Daly City, California. He first gained notoriety after performing at several live DJ competitions. Mix Master Mike later joined the ground-breaking turntablist group, Invisibl Skratch Piklz. After gaining fame, he hooked up with the Beastie Boys, working on the album Hello Nasty. He is now considered their resident DJ, replacing DJ Hurricane. In 1994, after winning three consecutive world titles of the international DMC turntablism award. Mike and Q-Bert were asked to step down from further competition as their domination was too much for the rest of the pack. The two performed an amazing “farewell” set and were honored to become DMC judges. Mike has also helped fellow DJs produce their own albums, most notably, Wave Twisters, by DJ Q-Bert. Born in the Philippines, Paolo is one of two children. The Montalban family moved to America when Paolo was just one year old. He lived in an apartment in Manhattan, and then in New Jersey, where he grew up in a neighborhood surrounded by mostly Filipinos. He grew up in a musical family: his father played the piano, two aunts studied the violin and piano at Julliard, and his mother was involved in the theater while a student at St. Paul's College in Manila. Like many other Filipino American children, he learned how to play the piano, as well as the violin and saxophone. And like many Filipino American children, he doesn't play anymore. When Paolo was attending grade school, he auditioned for his school's production of "Oliver" and got the lead role. Paolo's success has convinced many Filipinos that he is the next best thing to happen to them since Lea Salonga. In an interview, he laughs saying "I wouldn't put myself in the same scale. She's a star. I'm just a guy."

Phoebe Cates attended Professional Children's School in New York City and made her motion picture debut as Jennifer Jason Leigh's "experienced" confidante in Amy Heckerling's acclaimed Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). Cates then landed the role of "Christine Ramsey" in Private School (1983), then co-starred in the innovative Gremlins (1984) for Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, directed by Joe Dante. Ramiele was eliminated from American Idol on April 2, 2008 and Ryan Seacrest cited it on the radio as the most emotional result show ever in idol. She successfully auditioned for American Idol in August, 2007 where she sang Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”. She is currently in the Top 9, Her musical influences include Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, The Jackson 5 and she cited Regine Velasquez as her favorite performer.

Rex Navarrete

Filipino-American comedian Rex Navarrete discovered his knack for telling jokes when he was going to school in the San Francisco Bay area, when he would bring in Eddie Murphy's classic album Comedian to show his friends. When he began attending college, his parents assumed that Navarrete would become an architect, but at the insistence of one of his professors, he gave standup comedy a try, and immediately knew he had found his calling. In the spring of 1989, the then 19-year-old did his first routine in front of 800 people at the annual Asian Pacific Islander Student Union conference at U.C. Santa Cruz, and hasn't looked back since. It took him a few years to hone his act, but by the time Navarrete was 28, he'd perfected a routine that centered around utilizing a cast of "characters," ranging from an old teacher of his to a domestic worker (he bases his act on what he calls "real Rex moments," in other words, true life experiences). In 1998, Navarrete issued his first comedy album, Badly Browned, following it up a year later with a sophomore effort titled Husky Boy (both issued on the Classified label), and in 2001, his first release on his own label, Kakarabaw Productions, entitled Bastos. Hollywood has mirrored the Camelot in which Shannyn Sossamon found herself in her breakthrough role as the leading lady in A Knight's Tale (2001). Shannyn, who credits her striking looks to an eclectic mix of French, Hawaiian, Dutch, Irish, Filipino and German was born Shannon Marie Kahololani Sossamon in Honolulu, Hawaii. At the age of one, Shannyn and her family moved to a new exotic locale: Reno, Nevada. Her youth was spent at a dance studio. At 17, promptly after high school graduation, she left her small town life for a career in dance in Los Angeles. She got distracted and started deejaying as a hobby with her then boyfriend in the local clubs around town. Paying her bills every month were her appearances in commercials. Acting was not high on the young dancer's priority list, aside from a series of commercials, not for lack of interest but for the fact that she was content with her life in L.A. as it was. It was in 1999, when Shannyn was helping a friend D.J. at a birthday party for Gwyneth Paltrow that a new chapter began in her fairy tale life. Then her parents packed up to move to the US and settled in Fresno, California. Her mother Angelita (Filipina) is a homemaker. Her father Jesse (African-American), a retired master sergeant in the US Air Force, is now an elementary school teacher. Her parents are divorced. She has a step-father Elmer Manankil. Elmer and Angelita have a daughter together. So, Sharon has a younger sister, Kristina Manankil. How she got started with the desire for performing. At the age of two, Sharon sang into a microphone, and her parents taped her. This later led to acting, which she began doing in community theater productions when she was 13. Sharon graduated from 'Roosevelt High School of the Arts' in Fresno and attended 'Diablo Valley Junior College', where she studied acting while privately studying voice. In 1989, she won a vocal scholarship at the 'Santa Cruz Jazz Festival', which enabled her to study with Seth Riggs (Michael Jackson's voice coach). Sharon has also performed in various rap and R&B music videos. She has sung in cabaret productions at B.Smith's, The Violet, and Steve McGraw's, all in New York City, and played teenager Dahlia Creed on the daytime soap opera 'Guiding Light' in the mid-90s. Thia Megia is a Filipino-American singer and finalist in season 10 of American Idol 2011. Megia was born in Hayward, California and her family moved to Mountain House, California. Megia is the youngest of three children and is a home-schooled sophomore. Megia’s parents, Cynthia and Loreto, both hail from Pampanga, Philippines and they immigrated to the United States in 1968 and changed their name from Mejia to Megia. Megia has performed with Regine Velasquez in a concert. Megia sang on the fourth season of America’s Got Talent (2009), but was cut in the Top 40 round. That same year, she was invited to sing at the David Foster and Friends concert in California. Thia sang “Who’s Loving You” by The Jackson 5/Michael Jackson.
