VALLEJO, CA – JUNE 2: Celebrating Over 2 Decades of Rich, Colorful and Vibrant Filipino Culture – This year’s festival marks the 26th anniversary of the founding of the Philippine Cultural Committee of the Filipino Community of Solano County on Saturday, June 2, 2012. This celebration is a yearly landmark festivity in Vallejo as it showcases the unique culture which every Filipino is proud of. It takes many colors and shapes in putting this together in one cheerful package. The resiliency and huge measure of ingenuity of all involved is the huge factor that makes up such a task. But it is the sincere and sustained commitment of the members of the Philippine Cultural Committee and the Bay Area Community that made this year’s Pista Sa Nayon a huge success.
The Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon celebration is in conjunction with their 114th Philippine Independence, so they celebrate it with style and with pride.
This year’s event was hosted by Franco Finn, “Hype Man” of the Golden State Warriors and Freska of 99.7 Now. With headlining acts from TFC Sama Saya Kapamilya 2012 Xian Lim, Sheryn Regis, Gerald Anderson and Justin Bieber’s back-up singers, “Legaci.”
