"Top Gun" - (1986)
"Top Gun" - (1986)
Tony Scott directed the 1986 film, “Top Gun,” which starred Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards and Meg Ryan. The film was a box office success and also scored four Oscar nominations, winning best original song for “Take My Breath Away.”

In December 2011, Cruise told MTV News that he and Scott were in talks about possibly shooting a sequel.
