Director/Producer Tony Scott (1944-2012)
LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — Tony Scott, director of such Hollywood blockbusters as "Top Gun," "Days of Thunder" and "Beverly Hills Cop II," died Sunday, August 19th, after jumping from a Los Angeles County bridge, authorities said.
The 68-year-old Scott's death was being investigated as a suicide, Los Angeles County Coroner's Lt. Joe Bale said.

"Unstoppable" - (2010)
Denzel Washington and Chris Pine starred in 2010's "Unstoppable," the last feature film directed by late filmmaker Tony Scott.
In the action-thriller, a freight train barrels toward a city, and a veteran engineer and a young conductor must try to stop it before it's too late. The movie, which also starred Rosario Dawson, received mostly favorable reviews, earning it a "certified fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In 2006, Tony Scott directed Denzel Washington once again in "Deja Vu," which co-starred Paula Patton and Val Kilmer. Washington portrays an Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent who goes back in time to save a woman from being murdered.

"Man on Fire" - (2004)
The Tony Scott-directed film, "Man on Fire," hit theaters in 2004, starring Denzel Washington and a young Dakota Fanning. Based on the 1980 novel of the same name by A. J. Quinnell, the movie followed a CIA agent-turned-bodyguard.

"Enemy of the State" - (1998)
Tony Scott's "Enemy of the State" followed a group of National Security Agency agents who kill a U.S. congressman and try to cover up the murder. The 1998 film featured Will Smith, Gene Hackman and Jon Voight. It debuted in the No. 2 slot at the box office.

Tony Scott directed Robert De Niro in 1996's "The Fan," which also featured Wesley Snipes and Ellen Barkin. The psychological thriller focused on baseball and the intense devotion of some of the sport's fans.

"Crimson Tide" - (1995)
Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman graced the big screen in 1995's "Crimson Tide," directed by Tony Scott. The movie was scored by Hans Zimmer, who took home a Grammy for the main theme. It received three Oscar nominations: editing, sound and sound editing.

Quentin Tarantino wrote the Tony Scott-directed film, "True Romance," which hit theaters in 1993. Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette starred in the romantic-crime flick, which featured an ensemble of Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken, Chris Penn, Samuel L. Jackson and James Gandolfini, among others.

"Top Gun" - (1986)
Tony Scott directed the 1986 film, "Top Gun," which starred Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards and Meg Ryan. The film was a box office success and also scored four Oscar nominations, winning best original song for "Take My Breath Away."
In December 2011, Cruise told MTV News that he and Scott were in talks about possibly shooting a sequel.
