FORBES LIST OF THE HIGHEST-PAID MUSICIANS OF 2013
FORBES LIST OF THE HIGHEST-PAID MUSICIANS OF 2013
(CBS NEWS) - Forbes has named the highest-paid musicians of 2013. Dr. Dre (pictured) was 2012's Highest-Paid Musician. Where does he rank in 2013? These kinds of lists often come down to what musicians had going on during a specific time period -- that includes major tours, album releases and other ventures. For example, Gaga's new "ARTPOP" album wasn't included in the tally.

Forbes compiled the list by looking at the period of June 2012 and June 2013 using data from the Pollstar, the RIAA and Nielsen SoundScan. The magazine also took into consideration information from industry lawyers and managers.
