Diehard fans may want to close their eyes: with an 0-2 start and staring at possible 0-6 start now, the Oakland Raiders will be hard-pressed to avoid two ugly fates in 2014: they could end up worse than the 4-12 record they posted last year, and they could end up as the worst team in the NFL.

Phil Dawson kicked a 40-yard field goal as the game ended to lift the 49ers to a 23-20 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday, giving the Niners the NFC’s No. 5 playoff seed.
The 49ers could still win the NFC West if they beat the Cardinals and the Rams beat the Seahawks in Seattle Sunday. “(A Rams win in Seattle) is a long shot,” John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew.
In the regular season finale, the Cardinals and 49ers are both dealing with multiple injuries. However, only Arizona has any concerns about the availability of one of their key players.
