Berkeley High School administrators ramped up security on and off-campus Monday, following a huge brawl that broke out after school involving hundreds of students, non-students and adult spectators last Friday.
A brawl between fans was caught on camera during Sunday’s Battle of the Bay game in Oakland.
The Oakland Raiders are increasing security for this Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers at O.co Coliseum.
Alex C posted the video he took while in line for the men’s room at Levi’s Stadium Sunday. In the clip, a man in a Frank Gore jersey charges a fan wearing a Colin Kaepernic uniform. That man ends up on the ground, apparently unconscious. The fan in the Gore jersey, and another man, are then seen knocking another fan to the ground and hitting him as he covered his head on the bathroom floor.
The melee appears to have broken at the start of half time near the 50 yard line seats in the upper deck, when 49er fans and Cardinal fans began jawing at each other across an aisle. The initial shoving sent fans down the stairs and onto a walkway below. At that point, fans in Cardinals gear who had not been previously involved began taking swings at the pile, which included both men and women.
A Taco Bell restaurant in Antioch has started closing its dining room in the afternoons after managers say it has become a magnet for high school students after class, and fights have been breaking out.
