Christopher Evans Hubbart
The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said a Santa Clara County judge has announced that serial rapist Christopher Hubbart potentially could live in the Antelope Valley community of Lake Los Angeles when he’s released from prison.
62-year-old Christopher Hubbart — a convicted serial rapist who has admitted to raping and sexually assaulting 38 women in California between 1971 and 1982 — will be released as soon as housing is found.
District Attorney Jackie Lacey said Tuesday her office will challenge a Bay Area judge’s decision to release a sexually violent predator in Los Angeles County.
A convicted serial rapist’s scheduled release from a state prison hospital has stirred up controversy. Christopher Evans Hubbart was convicted in two separate trials decades ago for committing 34 rapes, 15 of them in the Bay Area.
