As fans file out of the stadium following Sir Paul McCartney’s farewell show at Candlestick Thursday, some will likely by trying to bring more than memories of the 50-plus year old stadium.
A dream team of 49ers took the field at Candlestick Park for the final time in what can only be described as the greatest pickup game in history. There was Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jeff Garcia and other legends… and a crowd estimated between 25 and 30,000.
So now that The 49ers’ faithful have already bid farewell to their beloved Candlestick park Monday night, the question is what happen next—and when?
