Twin Giraffes Born At San Francisco Zoo, Only One Survives

Twin male giraffe calves were born at the San Francisco Zoo Tuesday, but according to zoo officials only one survived.

The first meteors of a never-before-seen Memorial Day Weekend meteor shower, the Camelopardalids or ‘Giraffe’ shower, have already been seen, caught on camera, and cataloged, according to meteor researchers at the SETI Institute in Mountain View.

A new baby giraffe was born at the San Francisco Zoo last week, weighing in at 130 pounds and standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, zoo officials said.
