A Rohnert Park man suspected of the hit-and-run death of a Santa Rosa man Saturday turned himself in to the California Highway Patrol Monday afternoon, a CHP officer said.
The CHP is looking for John Mesker of Rohnert Park, the owner of the vehicle officers say was involved in the crash.
When CHP officers and Sonoma County deputies arrived on the scene, they located the body of a male on the west shoulder of Petaluma Hill Road just north of Hunter Lane.
The crash happened around 2:20 a.m. when a driver ran a red light at the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Folsom streets, broad-siding another car.
