Astros Nearing Deal With No. 1 Overall Pick Appel Of Stanford

The Houston Astros are close to agreeing to terms with starting pitcher Mark Appel, CBS Sports has confirmed. Appel will graduate from Stanford with a degree in management science and engineering this coming Sunday and is then expected to sign a big-money deal.
