Dozens Of Flights From Bay Area Canceled As Irene Batters East Coast

The effects of Hurricane Irene, the tempest battering the East Coast, were felt in the Bay Area as dozens of flights were canceled because of storm-related airport closures.

Hurricane Irene Cancels Some Flights From Bay Area To East Coast

United Airlines and Virgin America have both canceled flights in and out of SFO on Friday and Saturday in response to the expected arrival of Hurricane Irene, airport officials said.
