San Francisco Landlords Threaten To Sue City Over Increased Ellis Act Fees

A group of San Francisco landlords said they are preparing to file a lawsuit against the city after the Board of Supervisors voted on Tuesday to increase the amount of tenant relocation fees for Ellis Act evictions.

Assemblyman Ammiano To Propose Ellis Act Revisions For SF

State Assemblyman Tom Ammiano is bringing legislation to Sacramento which could change the Ellis Act—the provisional law that has been used as a method for tenant evictions in San Francisco.
