The 49ers and Patriots have reportedly inquired about the possibility of trading for star wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

“The Raiders have more salary cap money than any other team, so they’re going to, in theory I guess, be able to get a lot more on the free agent market than any other team in the league,” Madden told the KCBS morning crew.
Michael Vick, released by the Philadelphia Eagles, may or may not find a starting quarterback position elsewhere. But some NFL analysts speculate he’ll end up as a backup QB, perhaps on a team like the 49ers.
