Concord Elementary School Teacher Acquitted Of Child Molestation Charges; Jury Deadlocks On Others Counts
A Concord elementary school teacher was acquitted Thursday of molestation charges involving three former students and a Contra Costa County Superior Court jury deadlocked on counts involving nearly a dozen others.
A longtime Concord elementary school teacher testified in a Martinez courtroom Wednesday that he never inappropriately addressed or touched any of his students, despite the numerous child molestation charges against him.
Joseph Martin, 46, is on trial in Contra Costa County Superior Court for 150 counts of sexual abuse of former students at Woodside Elementary School.
Joseph Martin, a former teacher at Woodside Elementary in Concord, is facing 125 felony molestation charges.
