Getaway Guide: Weekend Guide To Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe has no off-season. It’s difficult to name a spot that can rival the attraction of this destination all 12 months of the year. If you love the outdoors, Lake Tahoe delivers in spades. Of course, casinos on the Nevada side of the lake also offer fun in clubs, diamonds and hearts. Pack in as much as possible over a weekend, and plan to return to do what you missed. That’s how a good time works at Lake Tahoe. For Bay-Area grownups, it’s like having a spectacular, year-round outdoor playground.Nothing beats clear blue skies reflected in North America’s largest alpine freshwater lake surrounded by green and fragrant pine-covered Sierra Nevadas. Sprinkle that with golf and ski resorts, hiking, biking and water sports, the distractions of dining, evening entertainment and casinos, and this place is just a recipe for a good time.
