A disgraced icon of the gay community and former San Francisco Human Rights Commission employee was sentenced Wednesday morning to six months in county jail after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography earlier this year.

A former employee of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission was charged with multiple felony counts of possessing and distributing child pornography, District Attorney George Gascon said.
San Francisco police arrested gay rights activist Larry Brinkin on Friday on charges that he had images of children as young as a year-old engaging in sex acts with adults. The 66-year-old has been for investigation of felony possession of child pornography.
