Almost 28,000 marijuana plants were removed last week from illegal cultivation sites in the Los Padres National Forest in Monterey County by federal, state and local authorities, the sheriff’s office reported Tuesday.
The new rules would limit where medical marijuana dispensaries could be located and would also force them to grow their own marijuana.
The Napa Special Investigations Bureau and Napa County Sheriff’s Office detectives eradicated nearly 14,000 marijuana plants at an illegal grow site Tuesday in northern Napa County near the Lake County line.
