Oakland Mayor’s Neighbors Fed Up With Crime, Seek Private Guard

The crime problem facing Oakland has crept into Mayor Jean Quan’s own backyard. Neighbors told KPIX 5 they are frustrated and plan to hire a private guard to improve security.

Mayor Quan’s Neighbors In Oakland Hills Demand More Police

Residents of the Oakmore District of the Oakland Hills , where Mayor Jean Quan resides, met on Wednesday night to demand city leaders provide more police to stop escalating home-invasion robberies and other violent crimes.
